We sat at the bar. Our bartender Lisa was one of the best servers I have had. Truly a top notch professional server. We had the fried cauliflower appetizer and it was perfectly prepared. We had their smoked chili and crispy sandwich at our servers recommendation. They were very good as well. Highly recommend this place if you like BBQ.
Wow. Smokehouse still serving up great food. Burnt ends people! I lived in the Gladstone area in the 90's and ate here all the time. I've been living in Arizona for the last 20 years but when I was coming through I made a special point to stop in with an Arizona native who never had authentic Kansas City BBQ. Was even better than what I remembered. Thank you again Smokehouse. Staff was super friendly and highly informative.
Smokehouse is very good. Baked beans and cheesy corn are probably the best there are. Still rate it lower than Joe's and Jack Stack for the meats. But you can't go wrong with Smokehouse.
We love BBQ and live close so we have their food a lot. I prefer take out from here case it's always so crowded and chaotic. Food is great. Service is always a roll of the dice. I have had amazing wait staff there as well as having a server give us each one drink, take our order and we never saw her again. The food is awesome!
I wish I could remember our waitress name.She knew the history of the restaurant.She made our experience all together a pleasant experience.
