I've been in lots of shelters where an abundance of animals are kept and have never experienced anything close to this unbearable!
yall are some good staff and im hoping to adopt a baby cat and i was lookin forword to come there to get one
My friend had filed paper work to adopt a pet there today. They told him his cat needed vaccs, so my friend took care of it, promising to come back to pick up his new pet, came back AN HOUR LATER and they adopted his dog to someone else. Didnt put him on hold, didnt tell the other family there was someone else looking at the pet. AWFUL. Absolutely terrible! My friend already had all of his supplies, even a freaking name tag. Why they would knowingly adopt out a dog, that already had someone picking him up THAT DAY is beyond me. BE CAREFUL they dont hold pets for serious adopters! He had come three different times to try to adopt this dog, and they changed their mind every time he showed up, saying my friend had to wait even longer. *NOT ADOPTER FRIENDLY!*
I dropped some supplies off here for donation and the second I walked through the door could not breath. This shelter smells like a horrible hoarding situation. I asked the girl at the desk why such a stench and she said we have like 70 cats.

Been dealing with them for years and they've been very nice folks. They're practical and professional.
I don't think they are set up for that many cats and am certain this shelter is never being cleaned. I felt horrible for the employees and the animals there. It was putrid. I hope something is done to take care of this awful situation. It has to be a health hazard.
